Fresno Unified School District ("DISTRJCT") will receive sealed bids for Informal Bid, Tenaya Middle School Main Office Accessibility and Facility Improvements, to replace Main Office entry countertops, casework and finishes and other related support facilities within main office. Interior selective demolition and alteration improvements to the 960 square foot office in the administration building. Improvements include new flooring, base, vinyl tack board, lay-in ceiling panels, cabinetry, doors, gates, windows, low wall partitions with steel supports, cantilevered all-glass assemblies, hardwood trim, painting, concrete footings and patches and electrical power/data addition. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 1770 et seq of the California Labor Code, each worker of the contractor and any of its subcontractors engaged in work on the Project shall be paid not less than the prevailing wage rate. The project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5, the DIR established a Contractor Registration Program, in which no contractor or subcontractor shall bid on, be listed in a bid, or engage in the performance of any public work contract without being registered. Prime Contractor must have a valid Class "B" Contractor's License. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or a bidder's bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of total bids made payable to Fresno Unified. The substitution of appropriate securities in lieu of retention amounts from progress payments in accordance with Public Contract Code Section 22300 is pennitted.
