This project involves installing and energizing a new 12kV electrical backbone system per Moreno Valley Utility (MVU) approved electrical plans which will provide service to commercial properties along Eucalyptus Avenue and Memorial Way. The electrical plans call for the installation of conduit, structures, equipment, and cable along with related electrical facilities within Eucalyptus Avenue from Day Street to Memorial Way and on Memorial Way from Eucalyptus Avenue to 283' north of Eucalyptus Avenue. All equipment and materials shall be supplied by the contractor, including but not limited to: vaults, surface operable equipment, conduits, pad mounted switches, 12kV AL JCN 3/C cable, elbows with taps and test points, dead end receptacles with test points, basic insulating plugs, caps and test points, cable racks and steps, and ground assemblies. Associated work includes saw cutting of PCC and AC surfaces, trench backfill and repair including grind and overlay, asphalt concrete and aggregate base placement, sidewalk panel removal and replacement, curb and gutter removal and replacement, raised median removal and restoration, pavement striping and markers, boring across storm drain laterals, and restoration of traffic signal loop detectors.
