Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Waterloo, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

As of March 5 2021, project was awarded to Byrne & Jones Construction amount of $573,500.00. The start date is not yet determine but must be completed on July 30, 2021. Base Bid: Work to the track and field will include removal of existing turf and track surfaces, repairs to gravel and asphalt bases, inspection and flushing of drainage systems and installation of new monofilament synthetic turf surface and structural spray synthetic track surface. Alternate Bid #1: Drainage improvements will include the creation of a berm on the south and west sides of the athletic fields and at the east edge of the property, new paved ditches at the south and west sides of the athletic fields and at the discharge of the detention pond, new or improved erosion control at the west collection area, on the south face of the new berm to the south of the athletic fields and at the box culvert leading under East Bulldog Street to the detention basin. Drainage improvement work will also include the removal of the 18 inch culvert and associated embankment to the south of the athletic fields, localized regrading of the spoil bank along the south property line, ditch grading including an overflow ridge along the property south of the practice fields and the removal and replacement of the 24 inch culvert near the softball field. Alternate Bid #2: Provide and install slit film synthetic turf (fibrilatted) in lieu of monofilament synthetic turf. ALTERNATE BID #3: Televise approximately 1,200 linear feet of existing storm sewer piping and 300 linear feet of existing storm sewer box culvert. Alternate Bid #4: Replace the earth berm on the south and west sides of the athletic fields (Alternate Bid #1) with a cast-in-place concrete retaining wall. Alternate Bid #5: Provide synthetic turf grooming equipment as specified in Section 32 14 45. The Owner requires the project to be substantially complete by July 30, 2021. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or any part thereof, to waive any informality in bidding, and to accept bids deemed most favorable to the Owner.
