**Completion time 104 calendar days, weather days and holidays excluded. The purpose of this project is to perform repairs to Cedar Creek Watershed, Structure Site No. 136, a single-purpose flood retarding structure (FRS) designed in 1964 and built in 1965.The structure is an integral part of the Cedar Creek Watershed, a sub-watershed of the Trinity River Watershed. Site No. 136 is located on an unnamed tributary of Lacy Fork, a tributary of Cedar Creek This site is located approximately 12 miles southwest of Canton, Van Zandt County, Texas. Components to be repaired as part of this project are the upstream embankment slope and fences. The upstream slope repair consists of stripping and stockpiling the topsoil from the upstream embankment slope, excavating the upstream slope, rebuilding the slope with compacted earthfill, placing rock riprap armoring on the slope and placing topsoil on exposed earthfill areas above the normal water level. New barbed wire fences will be constructed around the embankment and spillways. Performance time for completion of this contract is 104 calendar days, holidays and weather days not included. Estimated magnitude of work is between $250,000 and $500,000. Clearing The work shall consist of the clearing and disposal of trees, snags, logs, brush, shrubs, stumps, and rubbish from the designated areas removal, salvage, and disposal of structures (including fences) installing measures or performing work to control erosion and minimize the production of sediment and other pollutants to water and air from construction activities. The work consists of preparing the area for treatment; furnishing and placing seed, sprigs, mulch, fertilizer, inoculant, lime, and other soil amendments; and anchoring mulch in designated areas as specified.
