Question Cutoff Date 2/16/2021 04:00:00 PM (ET) The Lexington County Department of Public Works is seeking competitive bids from South Carolina Department of Transportation approved contractors for the purpose of Paving Ruth Vista Road in Lexington, SC. The work includes grading, paving, and installation of storm drainage system and all other work associated with the construction of this road for a total of approximately 3,486 LF of roadway. The limits of work are described herein along with Standard Specifications that detail specific items of work. Ruth Vista Roadway improvements consists of the paving and improvement of approximately 3,486 LF of roadway in accordance with the specifications and plans provided. Associated work shall include but not limited to clearing, grading, paving, installation of storm drainage system, and grassing The typical section for Ruth Vista Road is 6" GABC and 2" Hot Mix Asphalt. Prime Coat shall be applied to the base course if the roadway is not to be paved within 72 hours of base course acceptance This contract provides an alternate bid for 8" sand-clay base. Only one Base Type is to be included in the Bid Total. All work will be warranted for 2 years from the date of Final Acceptance of the project against any failures or defects caused by the materials or workmanship
