Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a residential development in Aiken, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a residential development; for the demolition of a residential development; and for asbestos abatement for a residential development.
The Contract, if awarded, will be on the basis of the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after time has been called on the date of bid opening. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond made payable to Aiken Housing Authority in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid for the complete work; such Bid Bond will represent that the Bidder, if awarded the Contract, will promptly enter into a contract agreement and furnish a Performance and Payment Bond. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond or bonds in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price and other insurance requirements in accordance with the General Conditions. Aiken Housing Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any bids and to waive technicalities and informalities in the bidding process. Bidders will be required to submit their experience in meeting the Minority Business Enterprise/Women Business Enterprise, Davis-Bacon, and HUD Section 3 requirements.
