Renovation of a museum in Naples, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
The objective of the project is to restore the Caboose to its 1909 condition. The 1909 Haskell & Barker Caboose #99093 was donated by Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Hirshhorn to Southwest Heritage, Inc. and delivered to the Naples Depot in 1978. Extensive general replacement/repair projects were conducted in ca. 1988, ca. 1998 and ca. 2008. It is understood similar projects were done prior to the caboose's arrival to the Depot. The opportunity now exists to provide a design plan to conduct a thorough phased restoration project of the caboose to provide for longevity and for interpretation enhancement. Q & A deadline: Mar 04, 2022 3:00:00 PM MST The agreement term, if an award is made, is intended to be for ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY DAYS (180) calendar days. Time is of the essence in the performance of the work on this project. Should the contractor fail to substantially complete the project in the time period specified, the owner shall be entitled to assess, as liquidated damages, but not as a penalty, five hundred dollars ($500) per calendar day.
