Site work for a water / sewer project in Montour Falls, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Contract generally consists of relining sections of the existing sanitary sewer system with a trenchless, cast-in-place, pipe liner, full replacement of the existing sewer service laterals, spot repairs of sewer mains, and meter pit installation. The work includes all associated backfill and surface restoration required as a part of the work along with other work specified and indicated on the Construction Drawings. The Project is financed through the Community Development Block Grant Program. The Village of Montour Falls encourages Minority and Women Business Enterprises (MBE/WBE) and Section 3 enterprises to submit bids for this project. The selected contractor will be encouraged to ensure that, to the greatest extent feasible, opportunities for training and employment arising in connection with this NYS CDBG-assisted project will be extended to lower-income project area residents. Further, the contractor will be encouraged, to the greatest extent feasible, to utilize business concerns located in or substantially owned by residents of the project area, in the award of contracts and purchase of services and supplies. A pre-bid conference is not being held. Bidder questions can be submitted through the website. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
