Site work for a road / highway in Loveland, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

Each bid must be accompanied by cashiers or certified check, or by a Bid Bond, the required form for which is contained in the Contract Documents, written by a corporate surety acceptable to the District in a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. The bid security of the successful Bidder will be retained until the Contract has been fully executed and the required bonds and certificate of insurance delivered to the District, after which it will be promptly returned. If the successful Bidder fails to execute and deliver the Contract and furnish the required bonds and certificate of insurance to the District within ten (10) days of the Notice of Award, the District may elect to rescind the Notice of Award, in which event the bid security of that Bidder will be forfeited. The bid securities of any Bidders whom the District believes may have a reasonable chance of receiving the award may be retained for ninety (90) days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays, after award of the Contract. If requested, bid security of all other Bidders will be returned within ten (10) days after award of the Contract. Any bid may be withdrawn by written request prior to, but not after, the bid date and time. The withdrawal of a bid shall not prejudice the right of a Bidder to file a new bid. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the bid date and time. If within twentyfour (24) hours after bids are opened, any Bidder files a duly signed, written notice with the District and promptly thereafter demonstrates to the reasonable satisfaction of the District that there was a material and substantial mistake in the preparation of his bid, that Bidder may withdraw his bid and the bid security will be returned. Thereafter, that Bidder may be disqualified from further bidding on the work. TIME OF COMPLETION 12.1 Except as otherwise approved by the District, the Contractor shall commence the Work within five (5) calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. 12.2 The Contractor shall substantially complete the Work as outlined in the Notice to Proceed. 12.3 Time is of the essence for this Contract. The Bidder shall review the Contract Documents setting forth the District's requirements as to a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond. The successful Bidder, simultaneously with the execution and delivery of the Contract to the District, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to at least one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price; both bonds to be secured from a corporate surety as specified in these Bid Documents. Bonds shall be in the form contained in the Contract Documents. TAX EXEMPT STATUS This is a state sales/use tax-exempt project and the successful Bidder will be provided the District's state sales/use tax-exempt certificate. There are two separate and distinct project locations: Boyd Lake Avenue and 15th Street in Loveland, CO and Boyd Lake Avenue and Kendall Parkway in Loveland, CO. Work is anticipated to start March 29, 2021 with substantial completion by July 23, 2021.
