Project scope for Classroom Buildings 4 and 6 includes the replacement like for like of the DX Air Handling Units and Condensing Units. Removal of existing 100% Outside Air Split Systems and install one (1) Packaged Dedicated Outside Air Unit per Building. Construction is anticipated to start June 09, 2021 with an anticipated duration of fifty-nine (59) calendar days to substantial completion on August 06, 2021. This project will require crews working simultaneously in two buildings and require weekend and shift work to complete in the contract time frame. All HVAC and ELECTRICAL Trade Contractor bidders must provide evidence with their bid that they can provide a performance and payment bond in the sum equal to their respective bid package from a surety company meeting the following requirements: A. The suitability of the surety shall be determined in accordance with the requirements of Florida Statues Section 287.0935 B. The surety shall also be listed on the U.S. Department of Treasury (Dept. Circular 570) entitled Companies Holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies C. The agent countersigning the bond shall be registered in the State of Florida. D. All surety companies are subject to approval and may be rejected by the School Board of Volusia County without cause in the same manner that bids may be rejected.
