**The project has been awarded with the amount of $319,789.30.** The Entire Project Shall Be Completed In one-hundred and eighty (180) Calendar Days. The bracket range is shown only to provide general financial information to contractors and bonding companies concerning the project's complexity and size. This Bracket should not be used in preparing a bid, nor will this bracket have any bearing on the decision to award this contract. The bracket estimate on this project is from $285,780.00 To $349,286.00. The bidder's proposal must be submitted on the complete original proposal furnished him or her by the Lee County Highway Department. Prequalification is not required. The right to reject any or all bids is reserved. Ala. Code 39-3-5 applies to this project. In accordance with Ala. Code 39-3-5(a), ".... preference shall be given to resident contractors, and a nonresident bidder domiciled in a state having laws granting preference to local contractors shall be awarded Alabama public contracts only on the same basis as the nonresident bidder's state awards contracts to Alabama contractors bidding under similar circumstances; and resident contractors in Alabama, as defined in Section 39- 2-12, be they corporate, individuals, or partnerships, are to be granted preference over nonresidents in awarding of contracts in the same manner and to the same extent as provided by the laws of the state of domicile of the nonresident."
