Site work and paving for a road / highway in Gwynedd, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of Upper Gwynedd Township, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount shall be submitted with each Bid. Bonds are to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for Satisfactory Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, and a Maintenance Bond in an amount equal to fifteen percent (15%) of the contract price, on bond forms acceptable to Upper Gwynedd Township. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race,color, religion, sex, or national origin. Bidders are required to comply with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of 1961, P.L. 987, No. 442, where the estimated cost of the total project is in excess of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000). Funding will be provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Municipal Liquid Fuels Program. All material must meet current PA Department of Transportation Specifications. Upper Gwynedd Township reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding when, in the opinion of the Township, such rejections or waivers shall be to its interest or advantage. Prior to awarding the contract, bids may be held by the Township for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of bid openings for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders. Clarification Deadline: 2/22/2021 10:00 AM Work to be completed on or before August 20, 2021. After August 20, 2021, liquidated damages apply. The Contractor agrees to start the work herein contracted for within five (5) days from the date of the Engineers Notice To Proceed to the Contractor directing them to proceed with the work. The time to complete the work contracted for, from the date of the Proceed Order, shall be limited to the following: 90 calendar days. The Township of Upper Gwynedd is performing a roadway rehabilitation program for several roadways within the municipal limits. A portion of this funding for this project will be provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Liquid Fuels Program. In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to: roadway resurfacing, base repairs, and ADA curb ramp replacement. The Upper Gwynedd Township Department of Public Works will complete pavement striping and signage associated with the project and are not included as items responsible for the contractor to complete. The scope of work is more fully described in the Project Specifications herein and on the Project Plans.
