Renovation of a detention facility in Burnet, Texas. Working plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

Burnet County is seeking Proposals from qualified proposers for shower resurfacing at the Burnet County Jail ("Jail") located at 900 County Lane, Burnet, TX 78611. Burnet County is in need of repairs to the wet areas in the county jail. Repairs are needed to 73 shower areas where pans are pulling away from the wall and are cracking, causing leaks in other areas of the cell. Below are the measurements of the areas and quantity of each. The water source (shower head) is just below 80 inches. The base comes up about 4 inches but creates a weak point where it's currently pulling away. All measurements are in inches. Site visits are available by appointment. Should be able to work on 6-12 showers at a time depending on the location and downtime. The process to be used in the showers is as follows: o The system used is a low odor, very low VOC polyaspartic resin and flake system. o The resin used is made by ResinWerks, and flakes are manufactured by CHIPS unlimited. o Preparation involves diamond grinding the entire surface of the walls and floors that are to be coated, completely removing previous coatings. Existing cove base that has failed is removed. o A key-cut into the concrete is made at all coating terminations, and around the drain. o All surfaces are then thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed. o A cant (fillet) cove is installed over the existing joint between the floor and the wall. o First resin application is a pigmented polyaspartic primer. o Second coat is a pigmented polyaspartic body coat, into which the colored flakes are broadcast. o When cured, all surfaces are scraped with a flat knife blade. o All surfaces are again thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed. o Third coat is a clear polyaspartic grout coat. o When cured, this coat is sanded. o All surfaces are cleaned and vacuumed. o Fourth coat is the final top coat of clear polyaspartic resin.
