The extent of work on this project is the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment for the construction of improvements generally described as follows: The West Des Moines Digital Enterprise Last Mile Conduit Deployment Segment 2 Phase 2 project includes the installation of a multi-user fiber conduit network within public right-of-way to support the connection of every residence and business wishing to connect from Jordan Creek Parkway to I-35 and UPRR to I-80 in West Des Moines. The project involves installation of City provided vaults. This project also involves supplying and installing conduit, tracer wire, test stations and other ancillary items required for a complete and functional conduit network for the future installation of fiber optic cables All bids shall be made on a form furnished by the City and shall be filed on or before the time specified above, in a sealed envelope addressed to the City Clerk of West Des Moines, Iowa, clearly stating that the envelope contains a bid on this project. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond, a cashier or certified check drawn on an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. If a bid bond is submitted it must be on the form provided with the contract documents. There is no pre-bid meeting planned.
