Demolition, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Providence, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for the construction of a 82,000-square-foot educational facility; and for the renovation of a educational facility.

2021 Bond - Higher Education Projects Question 1, would authorize the state to borrow more than $107 million for several projects at the state’s three public colleges, including more than $57 million to rebuild the University of Rhode Island Fine Arts Center. Scope of work: Construction of an academic building that would house the music and arts departments, updating classroom, rehearsal and studio spaces. New lobby space in front of the Robert E. Will Theatre; improved access to J-Studio; updated restrooms ; and two new modern acting classrooms. Updated art studios and classrooms with improved lighting. Major changes in the music spaces – new classrooms, practice rooms, faculty studios, recording studios, and a suite for the new music therapy majors. This is a phase project. The total number of phases and work within each phase will be revealed at a future date. As of December 6, 2022, this project has started construction. The content management team has made an inquiry for the awarded general contractor.
