The Schuylkill Technology Center is currently inviting Bids for the Building Facade Project at the South Campus in MarLin, PA. The Schuylkill Technology Center through the Board of Directors, reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or to split awards by item, or to accept bids, which will, in the opinion of the Board, best serve the Schuylkill Technology Center.
Location: STC South Campus Perimeter of the Exterior Facade.
o Specifications: Clean, paint and re-flash the 610 LF angle iron steel and the
240 LF window lintel on the perimeter of the STC South exterior facade to
rectify the issue of sealant at the steel angle reliefs where water is getting
trapped in an effort to repair current and prevent further rust. The Bid should
include 50LF of shelf angle replacement. If less than 50LF of angle is
replaced, a credit per provided LF unity cost will be issued. Replace existing
expansion sealant (700 LF) and
o Scope of Work:
o Expose existing window lintel and shelf angle by removing three
courses of split faced masonry units.
o Clean shelf angle and window lintel using a wire wheel and apply rust
inhibitor.
o Install perm-a-barrier flexible cavity wall flashing and a stainless-steel
drip edge and install weeps.
o Replace up to 50LF of severely damaged steel angles. Contract value
will be adjusted down per unit price if less than 50LF of replacement
is required or increased if more than 50LF is needed. Please specify
unit price.
o Install new masonry units to match the existing wall construction.
o Cut existing expansion sealant, remove backing material, and install
new backer rod and sealant.
o Standard one-year warranty on all installed parts and labor.
