Site work for a water / sewer project in Austin, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Work consists of abandonment of existing water and wastewater lines and installation of new water and wastewater lines on E. 38th Street and E. 40th Street between Red River Street and the S. IH-35 frontage road. Abandon existing wastewater line and install new wastewater line on E. 39th Street between Red River Street and Willbert Street. Abandon existing waterline and install new waterline on Harmon Avenue approximately 370 LF south and 70 LF north of the intersection of E. 38th Street and Harmon Avenue. Replace all existing water and wastewater connections on the aforementioned streets. Approximately 2,800 LF of new 12-inch waterline, 440 LF of new 16-inch waterline, 60 LF of 6-inch wastewater line, and 2,800 LF of 8-inch wastewater line will be installed. Estimated Amount for Solicitation: $4,834,050.00 All Bids shall be accompanied by an acceptable Bid guaranty in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total Bid, as specified in Section 00100, Instructions to Bidders. Performance and payment bonds when required shall be executed on forms furnished by OWNER. Each bond shall be issued in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount by a solvent corporate surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas, and shall meet any other requirements established by law or by OWNER pursuant to applicable law. Liquidated damages are one thousand and forty dollars ($1,040) per Calendar Day for failure to substantially complete the work and five hundred and fifty dollars ($550) per Calendar Day for failure to achieve final completion within thirty (30) Calendar Days after substantial completion, in accordance with the Bid Form, Section 00300.
