Reference number : 1447694 Deadline for receipt of complaints: 2021-02-15 Electronic submission accepted: Yes, in a single submission document Expected duration of the contract (in months): 10 Value of the Bid Security (amount or percentage) 10% OF THE TENDER AMOUNT The Universite de Montreal is issuing a call for tenders for services based on the lowest price award method in order to obtain the material for window and curtain wall replacement work to be carried out at Marie-Victorin Pavilion located at its Campus. The partial replacement of the masonry, which will be the subject of a subsequent call for tenders, is required for the partial replacement of the masonry, the demolition in order to accompany the replacement work of the windows and curtain wall. This call for tenders includes, but is not limited to: Sample book: o Installation of one (1) standard window as specified in the estimate of approximate size (to be checked on site) 995 mm wide x 1975 mm high (without opening shutter) fitted with a triple thermos glass as specified in the estimate . This window will serve as a model serving as a sample of the work. This window will remain in place temporarily and will be replaced during the work by a new complete unit as described in the architectural plans. This sample will serve as both an installation validation, an installation tolerance and the quality of the work required when carrying out work with the general contractor. Provide, in addition to the work provided for in the plans and specifications, the following steps and work in the tender; o Protection of interior installations. o The dismantling of a standard window easily accessible and located at ground level, o The installation of moldings covered with aluminum, nailing, insulation and sealing bases. o The cleaning at the end of the installation of the sample of the work, o Windows will be delivered in phases of 35 to 45 modular units (one unit being approximately 2 square meters each) per week. o The tenderer agrees to respect the installation sequences planned or modified by the general contractor in collaboration with the client's representative, During the supply and installation of the windows and the curtain wall, the general contractor will have the task; o The coordination and sequence of work in several phases, o The supply and installation of interior protection zones, o Dismantling of existing windows and evacuation off-site, Modifications to existing components required around openings, o The installation of the nailing bases necessary for the installation of the new window units, o Dismantling of the interior finish including plaster, shelves, masonry walls, o Reconstruction of the interior finish, o Supply and installation of scaffolds or other system required according to the specificity of the installations and according to the specific conditions on site. Period envisaged for the construction project under construction The execution period of the construction project is planned for a period of approximately 9 months. A public call for tenders will be launched for the selection of a general contractor to carry out the construction work required for the window and curtain wall replacement project at the Pavillon Marie-Victorin. As soon as a contract is awarded to a general contractor, this contract will be assigned to him. The assignment of the contract, according to the current schedule, should be made around 2021-03-01; therefore during 4 months the manufacturing period, but before the installation of June 21, 2021 Estimated value of goods and services The estimated value of the contract is $ 2,600,000, before taxes. Budget and price model : See submission form Service to be provided: Supply and installation Handling, storage, installation at the tenderer's expense Schedule and date of delivery and installation Goods and services (delivery, installation and others) will be provided in 25 phases: Consult the 2/19 phasing plans to know the dates of each phase of the project Phase 25 of the 1 st May to 16 July 2021 Important note: Phase 24 must be carried out by a specific installation team at the start of the project assigned to the installation of the curtain wall. The installation of the windows of phases 1 to 23 will have to be assumed by different teams. These are the dates that will be used for the purposes of calculating penalties. The exact dates of delivery, installation and other work will be established in coordination with the general contractor and in collaboration with the University of Montreal as well as the person in charge of the work. Performance bond and materials and services of each corresponding 50% is required.
