Renovation of a water / sewer project in Killeen, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Bell County Water Control & Improvement District No. 1 (District) is soliciting bids for the cleaning and epoxy painting of one (1) of our Chlorine Contact Basins. There are a total of four (4) Chlorine Contact basins. They are made of concrete and cinder block walls. The District is pursuing have one (1) painted at this time. The inside dimensions of 1 Basin is: 70Lx22Wx15D. Clean and prep all surfaces. To include the walls, tops of the walls, and the metal weir. This does not include the floor. Paint with two (2) coats of Sherwin Williams Tank Clad HS two-part, high-solids, epoxy coating (or Approved equivalent). The District will isolate and dewater Basin to be painted. The district has a Vactrailer that can be Operated to assist dewatering after pressure washing. We are allowing this much time due to the time of year and the understanding of needing the correct climate/temperature to paint. We would like to be completed before this date if possible. The District reserves the right to waive irregularities and reject any or all bids.
