Development of dedicated space on the University of Toronto St. George campus for the University of Toronto Rotman Commerce Undergraduate Program. The scope includes the development of a new five-storey institutional space. It comes a century after the program's first students graduated in June, 1924. The proposed scope includes an open concept, warm wood tones and natural light throughout, our new space will serve as an inclusive, inspiring and inviting meeting ground that brings our community together for generations to come. Rotman Commerce offers a space to build community, to collaborate in their learning and interact with each other, staff, and faculty in ways that will strengthen their connection to the program and the University more broadly. The new space should respond to the technological requirements of the modern dynamic learning environment but be flexible enough to accommodate the possibility of new methodologies. The site is located immediately south of the Goldring Centre of High-Performance Sport and north of Trinity College St. Hildas Residence, currently being used as a parking lot. It will have three basement levels and will incorporate a rooftop mechanical penthouse that will be set well back from Devonshire Place. TIMELINE: A Request For Supplier Quotations (RFSQ) was awarded in 2021. Detailed design is underway. Zoning and site plan submissions will be made in 2024/2025.
