The Quinter Street Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project includes the removal and replacement of two sanitary manholes as well as the replacement of 331 feet of 12-inch VCP gravity sewer with 18-inch PVC pipe, including replacement of sewer laterals to the legal right of way. Each document shall be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of West Pottsgrove Township, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total Bid amount. Bids shall remain open for a period of 60 calendar days from the date of Bid opening unless an award is delayed by a required approval from a governmental agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which event the Bids shall remain open for a period of 120 calendar days from the date of Bid opening. Bids may not be withdrawn during this period. All Bidders must bid on all items listed on the Bid Form. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price and a Maintenance Bond in the amount equal to fifteen (15%) of the Contract amount thereafter required on the specified Bond Forms included in the Contract Documents and Waiver of Lien. The successful Bidder shall complete the project and be ready for final payment within 90 calendar days of receipt of Notice to Proceed. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, in accordance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. West Pottsgrove Township reserves the right to reduce the scope of this project based upon the availability of funding. The Township also reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids and, in its sole discretion, to waive Bid defects deemed favorable to the Owner, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
