All RFQs must be submitted according to RFQ requirements. Paper RFQ may be obtained in the Sheriffs Office Accounting Division. Preference is given to materials, supplies, and provisions that are produced, manufactured, or grown in Louisiana, quality being equal to articles offered by competitors outside the State. The public shall incur no obligation to the Contractor until the Contract between the Calcasieu Parish Sheriffs Office and the Contractor is fully executed. The Sheriff Office reserves the right to reject any and all RFQ for just cause as permitted by LA R.S. 38:2214B. The ability of an Entity to reject any bid is applicable only when administered in accordance with the Public Bid Law. In accordance with LSAR.S. 38:2212(B)(1), the provisions and requirements of this Section, those stated in the bidding documents shall not be waived by any entity. RFQ may be held by the Sheriff Office for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) days from the date of the opening of RFQ for the purpose of reviewing the RFQ and investigation the qualifications of bidders, prior to award. Official action on this RFQ will be taken within Forty-five (45) days by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriffs Office.
