The scope of work for the Base Bid, located on Moanalua Freeway, Interstate Route H201 between the beginning of the freeway by Halawa (M.P. 0.00) and Kahuapaani St Overpass, consists of upgrading the highway lighting system to meet current AASHTO, State, and Federal lighting level standards. Associated highway lighting work includes the replacement of existing pole mounted street lights with new LED based street lights including providing a new light pole, pole base, and foundation, existing underpass lights with new LED based lights, conduits, and wiring. New LED based underpass lights are added to some overpasses that were not previously lit. Some of the associated structural and civil work includes modification of the median and retaining wall structures to accommodate new street lights, paving over the existing planter area with concrete, erosion control, traffic control, hydromulch seeding, and replacement and maintenance of the existing landscape affected by all the work. The estimated cost of construction is between $3,000,000 and $6,000,000. The scope of work for Additive Alternate #1, located on Moanalua Freeway, Interstate Route H201 between Kahuapaani St Overpass and the H-3 Overpass (M.P. 0.73), consists of upgrading the highway lighting system to meet current AASHTO, State, and Federal lighting level standards. Associated highway lighting work includes the replacement of existing pole mounted street lights with new LED based street lights including providing a new light pole, pole base, and foundation, conduits, and wiring. Some of the associated structural and civil work includes modification of the median and retaining wall structures to accommodate new street lights, erosion control, traffic control, hydromulch seeding, and replacement and maintenance of the existing landscape affected by all the work. Associated highway lighting work includes the replacement of electrical switchboard, panels, cabinets, lighting controls, conduits, and wiring. Some of the associated structural and civil work includes modification of the existing switchboard concrete pad, erosion control, hydromulch seeding, and replacement and maintenance of the existing landscape affected by all the work. The estimated cost of construction is between $500,000 and $1,500,000.
