Each bid shall be accompanied by bid proposal security m the form of a certified check, cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond made payable to the order of King County Hospital District No. 2 for a sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. No bid shall be considered unless accompanied by such bid proposal security. The bid is for performing all Work including furnishing and installing equipment in accordance with the bid documents, plans and specifications. This is a public works project, and therefore must comply with prevailing wage requirements. The work includes but is not limited to: Phased roof removals and replacements. Part 2, subcontract listing forms and qualification statements will be received on or before February 23. 2021 at 3:00 PM. Both sealed bid forms, Part 1 and Part 2 will be received in the Bid Box in the Construction Management Office, Suite 102 ofthe Evergreen Human Resources and Technology Center. Bids shall be publicly opened and read, and the Owner shall proceed to canvass the bids and may award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder on plans and specifications on file. The Owner reserves the right, to waive all informalities, or to reject any or all bids, and no contract shall be let in excess of the estimated cost ofsuch project. No bidders may withdraw their bids after the hour set for the receipt thereof unless the award of the contract is delayed for a period of sixty (60) calendar days from the date and time for receipt of the bids. The successful bidder shall enter into a contract, in accordance with the hid and furnish a performance and payment bond in an amount to be fixed by the Owner within ten (10) calendar days from the date of the Notice of Award letter to the successful bidder. Otherwise, the bid proposal security shall be forfeited to the Owner.
