ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Notice is hereby given that Bids must be made on the proposal forms provided in the bid documents in the manner designated and enclosed in a separate sealed envelope with the name and address of bidder and name of the job noted on the outside of envelope. In addition, the successful bidder will be required to submit a State of New Jersey Business Registration Certificate before award of contract. Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Central Regional School District for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00. The Central Regional School District assumes no responsibility for bids mailed or misdirected in delivery. If the bid exceeds $20,000.00, the bidder must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management & Construction for "Asbestos Removal/Treatment", prior to and on the date that the bids are received. Any bid submitted under the terms of New Jersey statutes not including a copy of the valid and active Pre-qualification/Classification Certificate will be rejected as being non-responsive to bid requirements. All contractors are required to bring and wear a mask to enter the building. All bidders must be licensed to perform Asbestos Abatement work by the New Jersey administrative/jurisdictional authorities. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of NJSA 10:5-31 et seq. and NJAC 17:27 (Affirmative Action), PL 1999 Chapter 238 (Public Works Contractor Registration Act), NJSA 10:5-41, 10:2-1 et seq., New Jersey School Development (SDA) prequalified, and NJSA 34:11-56 (Prevailing Wage rate). American goods and products are to be used where possible (NJSA 18A: 18A-20). The Central Regional School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive immaterial deficiencies in the bidding if it is in the interest of same to do so.
