Site work, paving and new construction of a transportation facility in Winchester, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a transportation facility; for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.

This project will relocate taxiway “A” (approximately 5,500’ long by 35’ wide) within airport owned property to help achieve the overall goal to meet Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) airport standards for weather minimums and airport design criteria. This project is currently in the FY 2025-2030 CIP. As of March 24, 2026, further information regarding a design firm and timeline for construction has not yet been established.
