**As of April 30,2021 This project has been awarded to J. Banicki Construction Inc. for $700,095.25. The anticipated start date is sometime in May, 2021 and should be completed after 90 days. ** The City of Sierra Vista has been awarded a grant through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and will accept competitive sealed bids from qualified firms who possess the appropriate licenses to provide all labor, materials, and equipment related to the Project AI-041; Sierra Vista Municipal Airport Apron and Taxiway J Rehabilitation Project Scope of Work. The project will require adhering to all FAA requirements including a DBE Goal assessment of 1.23%, race neutral (DBE and Non-DBE), however, DBE participation is always encouraged. The City of Sierra Vista also encourages the use of Small Business Concerns as required by Title 49 CFR 26.39. Since this is a solicitation for construction services, Davis Bacon Wages will apply. MBE (27%), WBE (6.9%), DBE (1.23%) The proposed project generally includes the rehabilitation of the apron and Taxiway J at the Sierra Vista Municipal Airport which includes the removal and replacement of apron pavement sections and a crack and seal coat across the limits of taxiway J. The project scope also includes applying new pavement markings.
