As of September 21, 2021, construction is underway and expected to be completed in February of 2022. Project Description: Site work and renovations for The Pitt County Animal Shelter. The work: site paving and fencing, unprotected building construction type VB (5B) with mixed construction methods (masonry, stud, etc.) and mechanical, plumbing and electrical work throughout. The Animal Shelter is in full operation and will need to continue to operate throughout the duration of construction. As a result the project will be constructed in successive phases designed to enable continued operation. Phases are described in the Bid Documents and will be further addressed by the winning Bidder as part of the construction contract. Submit your offer on the Bid Form provided. Bidders may supplement this form as appropriate. The Successful Bidder Shall Be Required to Furnish Separate 100 Percent Performance and Payment Bonds. The Performance Bond Shall Be in Full Force and Effect for One (1) Year After the Date of Final Acceptance of The Project by the Owner. Your offer will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 days after submission.
