Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The scope of work includes upgrades of the Howe Avenue Sewer Pump Station, as follows: Demolition of the existing electrical equipment, pumps, piping, valves and controls and other applicable items in the existing wetwell; new precast valve vault; new submersible pumps, piping and valves; instrumentation & control panels (integrated with the Town SCADA system) with new level controls and electrical equipment; and appurtenant site work and grading. The required contract completion period is 240 consecutive days. General Contractors Category of Certification: Pumping Station The selected contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond in amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as stipulated in Section 00700 GENERAL CONDITIONS of these specifications. General Contractors shall file their bids with a copy of the certificate from Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) showing that they are eligible to bid on projects of this category, of this estimated project dollar amount and up to an aggregate limit, and with an Update Statement, DCAM Form CQ3 and Certificate of Eligibility, DCAM Form CQ7. All bids for this project are subject to applicable bidding laws of Massachusetts, including General Laws Chapter 149, Section 44A to 44J inclusive, as amended. Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the Director of the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development under the provisions of the Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the Bidder, before bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Prevailing Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract. By submission of a bid, the Bidder agrees that this bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded after the opening of bids.
