The City of Lancaster is seeking bids from qualified contractor to accomplish the installation of a new transaction/payment window in the wall between the office suite and the existing north vestibule at the City of Lancaster Police Station located at 39 West Chestnut Street, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The construction of this window will prevent the interior of the office from being accessible to the public and will therefore better protect the staff from potential exposure from COVID-19 and other public health risks. The window further increases the overall security of the suite and assists in reclaiming interior space for a redistribution of furnishings to better accommodate staff and operations. This Project and Contract are subject to certain special requirements. For example, as more specifically detailed in the Contract Documents, the successful bidder shall be required to assure protection against discrimination for employees, applicants for employment, and subcontractors on the grounds of actual or perceived race, color, sex, religion, ancestry, genetic information, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, familial status, marital status, age, mental or physical disability, use of guide or support animals and/or mechanical aids, and to make payment of certain minimum salaries and wages. The City of Lancaster, PA reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to accept the Bid, which is in the best interest of the City. The lowest responsible bidder need not be the bidder submitting the lowest dollar amount bid. The City may also consider the quality of the goods or services supplied, ease of repair, compatibility with other City equipment, responsiveness, past performance of the bidder and any other reasonable factors specified in the bid package.
