The city of bowling green is soliciting bids for the removal/demolition of old concrete sidewalk, Replacement of sidewalk and concrete slab cutting where identified to remove trip hazards as well as traffic Control along various state maintained roadways within the city limits. The city has completed an inventory Of all necessary repairs and provided a map showing both sidewalk replacement locations as well as Concrete cutting locations. As noted in the special instructions, the city of bowling typical section for Sidewalk construction shall be utilized as well as the concrete cutting specifications contained within this Bid document. Replacement of approximately 5,000 sq. Ft. Of sidewalk sections and approximately 1,600 Lf. Of concrete slab cutting on sidewalks to remove trip hazards Geographic coordinates latitude 3658'43.3"N longitude 8626'18.6"W The City of Bowling Green, Kentucky reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, and to select that bid which it determines to be in its best interest. The award of this bid will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder The City of Bowling Green, Kentucky is not responsible for the premature opening of, or the failure to open, a sealed bid not properly addressed or identified. Bidders are invited to be present for the opening of the bids submitted. Masks and social distancing will be required. Contractors must submit the entire proposal when submitting their bid. Bidders and DBE subcontractors must be prequalified with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and possess a Certificate of Eligibility at the time of bid opening. All other subcontractors must be prequalified when accepting subcontracts. A bid bond of 5% must be submitted with bids. Additionally performance and payment bonds of 100% will be required. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal established for this project is 4%. Bidder must certify that it has secured participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE).
