Renovation of a municipal facility in Pickens, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Pickens County is accepting sealed bids for roof replacement for the Health Department. Remove existing two (2) roof systems to metal decking. o Remove all metal coping. o Mechanically gang fasten one (1) layer of 1.5" and one (1) layer of 2" insulation. Insulation seams will be staggered to prevent thermal bridging. o Mechanically fasten .45 Fibertite membrane. All seams will be heat welded. Membrane will be wrapped over and adhered to parapet walls. o Install new overflow scuppers to manufacturer's specifications. o Flash existing drains to manufacturer's specifications. o Install new pipe boots on all plumbing stacks to warranty specifications. o Install new pitch pockets to warranty specifications. o Flash all curbs to manufacturer's specifications. o Shop fabricate and install new 24 gauge Kynar metal coping. (Owners choice of standard colors) Replace six (6) skylights and raise the curbs to proper flashing height. o Minimum of 20 year manufacturer's warranty. o Minimum of 2 year contractor's workmanship warranty. o All materials removed/replaced shall be the responsibility of the contractor to properly dispose of and all landscaping/lawn areas shall be restored to their pre-construction status. o Protect all of existing structure, shrubs, and tenant owned personal property during removal, taking caution to keep all entrances free of hazards. Protect from weather at all times.
