Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Farmington, New Mexico. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; bridge / tunnel; water / sewer project; bridge / tunnel; and bridge / tunnel.

The work to be performed under this contract shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to construct the East Pinon Hills Boulevard Extension (EPHBE) from East Main Street to Road 3000 (Morningstar Drive). EPHBE will be a 4-lane divided street with a 14-foot wide median, two 5-foot-wide bike lanes and two 5-foot-wide sidewalks. This project will include traffic signal work as EPHBE will connect to the existing traffic signal at Pinon Hills Boulevard and East Main Street. New drainage infrastructure will also be constructed at the East Main Street intersection and at the Road 3000 intersection. In addition, the project will also require the construction of two bridges, one to span over the Animas River oxbow and the second to span over the Animas River itself. Question Deadline 11/17/2023 at 12:00 PM Questions and/or clarifications concerning this solicitation must be entered into the Questions tab in the online bidding system through the deadline date/time. Due to the funding source, the Davis Bacon and New Mexico wage rates are listed in the attachments tab. The higher of the two will be used. The wage rates may be updated with new costs at the request of SAM and/or NM Dept of Workforce Solutions if an extension of the wage decision is declined. If awarded a contract, the undersigned Bidder agrees to substantially complete the work for final acceptance within 480 working days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed Bidder further agrees to pay liquidated damages the amount listed on New Mexico Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Highway and Bridge Construction, 2019 Edition, Table 108.8.1. for each project for each consecutive calendar day thereafter that the work remains uncompleted. Per that chart this project will be $5000 per calendar day for liquidated damages. The City of Farmington reserves the right to change this date should it be in our best interest to do so. This award recommendation will be reviewed by NMDOT prior to going to City Council.
