Renovation of a mixed-use development in Silver Spring, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 294,465-square-foot, four-story above grade, 147-unit multi-residential development; and clubhouse / community center.
This project is a renovation of 12 three/four story buildings as well as a new construction of an addition. Owner will vacate all units for each phase for the duration of the construction of that phase. The scope of work includes but is not limited to: Replacement of siding, gutters, downspouts, windows, roofs; kitchen and bathroom upgrades, energy efficient appliances, cabinets and countertops, new electrical work, new fixtures and energy efficient lighting, replacement of HVACs and hot water heaters and relocation of hot water heaters, addition of 8 accessible/UFAS units, site improvements including paving, concrete repairs, new signage, new trash enclosures, and other miscellaneous work. As of July 15, 2021, a general contractor has been selected. Construction is anticipated to begin first quarter 2022.
