Information for Bidders, Specifications, and Contract Documents for the proposed work are on file and publicly exhibited at the Town of Montgomery Town Hall, 110 Bracken Road, Montgomery, New York, 12549, Telephone Number (845) 457-2640. The bid documents may also be obtained electronically by submitting a deposit with the Town Clerk and requesting that the documents be e-mailed or a thumb drive mailed to the requestor. The deposit shall be in the form of check or money order only - NO CASH and shall be made payable to the Town of Montgomery, deposits may be refunded in accordance with Section 102 of General Municipal Law. The Addenda, if any will be issued only to those persons whose name and address are on the record as having obtained the contract documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable form of Bid Guarantee in an amount equal to at least five (5) percent of the amount of the Bid payable to the Town of Montgomery as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract and file acceptable Performance and Labor, Material Payment Bonds, and Certificate (s) of Insurance within ten (10) days after the award of the Contract. STATEMENT OF NON-COLLUSION: Bidders on the Contracts are required to execute a non-collusion bidding certificate pursuant to Section 103d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York. Prevailing wages established under the Davis Bacon Act will apply to this contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, goals for minority and female participate and related matters. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirement as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facilities, Section 109, and Executive Order 11246.
