The work of this 180 calendar day project consists, in general, of furnishing all labor, materials, appliances, tools, equipment, transportation, services and supervision required to complete the pavement rehabilitation, including, but not limited to: installing temporary barricades; removing existing asphalt concrete and striping markings, and temporary removal of taxiway light fixtures; installing new asphalt pavement; installing new striping markings; installing electrical light can extensions and reinstalling taxiway light fixtures; installing new light can, cables, conduits and light fixtures, and performing all associated work, all in accordance with the Contract Documents. A California Class A contractor's license is required prior to award of this Contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal or awarded any contract for the project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5, with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a). The Port has set an overall aspirational DBE goal of 8.01% for federal fiscal years 2016-2021. DBE participation on this project will contribute to this overall goal.
