**As of April 23, 2021, the award amount is $7,335,216.52. This project provides for the asphalt resurfacing of the Turnpike northbound and southbound lanes with superpave asphalt mixture. The project also provides concrete pavement patching, concrete deck patching, installation of S.N.A.P.s, and Polyurea pavement markings. Maintenance and protection of Turnpike traffic is also included. Work items include, but are not limited to: 19,778 TON Superpave Asphalt Mix, Wearing Course, PG 64E-22, 9.5mm Mix, SRL-E 38,789 TON Superpave Asphalt Mix, Binder Course, PG 64S-22, 19mm Mix 199,687 SY Milling of Asphalt Pavement Surface, To Existing Concrete Pavement 32,878 SY Milling of Asphalt Pavement Surface, 1.5" Depth 85,070 LB Polyurethane for Slab Stabilization OR 82,157 GAL Asphalt for Slab Stabilization 178,068 LF 4 Polyurea Pavement Markings 73,980 EA Sonic Nap Alert Pattern (S.N.A.P.) Milepost A-61.00 is located approximately 4 miles North of the Lehigh Valley Interchange, Exit 56, and Milepost A-68.10 is located approximately 7.5 miles South of the Mahoning Valley Interchange, Exit 74, in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%)b percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project. The opening and listing of bids not meeting all the terms and conditions of the bid advertisement or bid procedures does not act as a waiver or modification of any requirements contained in the bid advertisement or bid procedure. The Provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended, together with the rates and regulations promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry applicable thereto, shall apply to this contract.
