Demolition and site work for a water / sewer project in Concord, California. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

**As of April 22, the project has been awarded with the a total amount not to exceed $464,750.** For Chenery Tower Demolition The Work includes, but is not limited to, the Work described in Section 01361, TURBIDITY CURTAIN AND CONFINEMENT BOOM; Section 02400, DEMOLITION, Section 02651, PIPELINE ABANDONMENT; Section 31100, SITE CLEARING; and Section 31230; EXCAVATION AND BACKFILLING; the Work, in general, consists of mobilization and demobilization, equipment staging, the demolition and off-site disposal of the obsolete Chenery Tower (and associated outlet works) at the north embankment of the Mallard Dam, removal and off-site disposal of the adjacent bridge that connects the embankment to the tower, and isolation and abandonment of two parallel, 24-inch concrete pipes beneath the tower that penetrate the dam embankment (including associated excavation). A turbidity curtain shall be deployed around the demolition site to preserve reservoir turbidity outside of the demolition area. Water collected from the two parallel, 24-inch concrete outlet pipes shall be treated with a sediment settlement tank to remove silt prior to being pumped back into the reservoir. The location of the project site is the Mallard Reservoir adjacent to the Bollman Water Treatment Plant at 2015 Bates Avenue, Concord CA. Project is to be substantially completed by October 15, 2021. Time for commencement and completion of the Work is important and is to be of the essence of the Contract. Prospective bidders must supply their own hard hats, safety glasses, reflective vests, and work boots, and wear them during the job site visit. Prospective bidders shall wear a face mask at all times while at the project site when they are not in their vehicles, and shall observe minimum separation distances and abide by all protections required by the CCWD Contractor Safe Practices Handbook (Appendix A) and Contra Costa County Health Services Order (Appendix B) at all times during the site visit. The District is not responsible for supplying Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), and prospective bidders will not be allowed to attend the job site visit if they fail to supply and wear the required PPE. Although the job site visit is not mandatory, no allowance will be made for any unfavorable conditions or events which might have been foreseen from a thorough examination of the site by the Contractor. No other job site visits will be scheduled. Bidders shall allow 2 days after receipt of payment for the documents to be sent from the District. Bid documents will be sent via Federal Express to the bidder. Bidder shall call the bid coordinator at (925)-688-8154 or email at bidcoordinator@ccwater.com if bid documents are not received within the expected timeframe. The bidder is solely responsible for ensuring receipt of the documents from the District as these are the sole basis for bidding. No allowance shall be made for any requests that are unfulfilled for any reason and not receiving hardcopy bid documents shall not be a valid complaint or protest at contract award. The location of the project site is the Mallard Reservoir adjacent to the Bollman Water Treatment Plant at 2015 Bates Avenue, Concord CA. Project is to be substantially completed by October 15, 2021. Time for commencement and completion of the Work is important and is to be of the essence ofthe Contract. The successful bidder will be required to furnish the following: Payment Bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price; Faithful Performance Bond, in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price; and evidences of insurance in full compliance with requirements set forth in Paragraph 00820-2.0, INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS It is the intention of the District to construct improvements as shown and set forth on the drawings, and in the particular locations shown on the drawings. All of the Work is particularly set forth in the drawings and specifications, and all of said Work, together with all other Work incidental thereto, is included. The Work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, incidentals, and equipment necessary for the Chenery Tower Demolition. The Bidder shall be required to provide, at its own cost and expense, all necessary insurance, as required by law or these specifications, and shall pay the cost and expense of any and all incidental matters herein required
