As of May 24, 2023, construction is underway, however, an exact timeline for construction has not been confirmed. Sealed bids are hereby solicited for the complete rehabilitation of the Savile Lane Pumping Station, as shown on the plans and as called for in the specifications. The pumping station rehabilitation work includes all site work, electrical, structural, architectural, and mechanical work required for the complete construction of the pumping station. The work includes, but is not limited to, the removal and replacement of pumps, valves, piping, electrical panels and controls, painting/protective coatings, and other items of work as shown on the plans. Contractor is also responsible to set-up traffic control measures as detailed in the documents. Only firms that have been pre-qualified will be eligible to submit bids for this project. Bids received from those that have not been pre-qualified will not be considered. This is a lump sum price contract. Contract length is 350 calendar days. An in-person bid opening attendance option will be available in the 4th Floor Bid Room. Bidders attending the in-person bid opening will wait outside Suite 463 and be escorted to the bid opening venue prior to bids being opened. Attendees shall abide by social distancing guidance provided by DPWES representatives during the bid opening. Please note that bid room capacity rules will be respected and all those arriving to witness this event may not be allowed inside the bid-room. This event shall conclude immediately following the opening of the bid packages. All bidders shall comply with Article A-21, Fairfax County Construction Safety Resolution. Bidders request for determination of eligibility to bid must be received by the county no later than fourteen (14) days before bids are due in accordance to Article A-18.E of Section A, Information For Bidders. Attendees who wish to participate in this in-person site visit shall agree to the following terms: 1) Attendees shall be United States Citizens as defined by the United States Government, Office of U.S. Citizenship, and Immigration Services (USCIS), and as further detailed in Section E-19 of the Contract Documents. Attendees may be asked to provide one of the U.S. Citizenship eligibility forms outlined in Section E-19.B.a; 2) Attendees agree to no photography, video, or live streaming during the site visit; 3) Attendees agree to bringing no more than two (2) individuals per firm. Further instructions for this site visit will be provided during the virtual pre-bid conference. Bidders will be asked to sign in agreeing to these terms during the virtual meeting. To be given consideration, questions must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of the bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after the opening thereof.
