The re-roofing project involves approximately 56,725 square feet of roofing materials and limited asbestos containing materials may be impacted by the work. The base bid includes the removal and disposal of all asbestos containing materials as identified herein, and on the architects drawings by workers meeting requirements of OSHA 1926.1101 for Class 2 work. The base bid will include the cost for removal and disposal of asbestos containing perimeter roof flashing materials that will be affected by re-roofing activities. Work includes filing and permitting all necessary applications, notifications, requirements and fees; insurance; necessary design services; providing skilled, licensed and certified labor; materials; and equipment necessary for proper preparation, handling, removal and legal disposal of all asbestos containing materials and asbestos contaminated waste from the subject building in accordance with all requirements of applicable Federal, State and local regulations, these specifications and the contract drawings. The following materials and amounts are included in the base bid work. The Owner shall retain a Consultant for the purposes of project management and monitoring during Asbestos Abatement.
