The City of Springfield is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from firms for the following trades: Masonry; Miscellaneous Metal; Waterproofing; Roofing and Flashing; Metal Windows; Glass and Glazing; Tile; Acoustical Tile; Resilient Flooring; Painting; Elevators; Fire Suppression; Plumbing; Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning; Electrical for the Springfield William N. DeBerry & Homer St. Elementary School. Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Trade Subcontractors for the City of Springfield William N. DeBerry and Homer St. Elementary school consolidation project. The project consists of construction of a new facility approximately 155,990 SF, located on are around 680 Union Street. This RFQ covers the following trades: Masonry; Miscellaneous Metal; Waterproofing; Roofing and Flashing; Metal Windows; Glass and Glazing; Tile; Acoustical Tile; Resilient Flooring; Painting; Elevators; Fire Suppression; Plumbing; HCAC, and Electrical. This is a CM at Risk Project under MGL Ch. 149A. The RFQ contains specific criteria for trade contractor prequalification and selection. This RFQ is part of a two-step selection process for the Trade-Subcontractors. First, interested firms must submit the SOQ and then, at a later date, only the pre-qualified firms will be invited to bid on the category of work for which they were pre-qualified. All firms must be pre-qualified for this project even if they are already DCAMM Certified. Respondent's names will be posted but responses will not be opened publicly. Responses are due to City of Springfield Office of Procurement, Attn: Theo Theocles, Esq., Deputy Procurement Officer, 36 Court Street Room 307 Springfield MA 01103, and be received prior to the qualifications statement due date March 18, 2021 at 2:00 P. M. EST. Questions must be submitted to the attention of Theo Theocles, Deputy Procurement Officer (Email:ttheocles@springfieldcityhall.com). The Office of Procurement reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to reject any or all responses, if in the public interest to do so. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. No questions will be answered unless received by the Chief Procurement Officer at least 7 days prior to the expiration of the time set for submitting bids or proposals. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
