The project includes all material, labour and equipment to install 375mm diameter storm sewer, approximately 51.6m in total length, and a new retaining wall at Meadowlane Public School (236 Forestwood Drive) in the City of Kitchener. The project works include, but are not limited to, the following: (a) Temporary construction fencing, sediment and erosion control, and traffic control signage to the satisfaction of the City of Kitchener; (b) Removals, including trees, asphalt, and chainlink fencing; (c) Remove, salvage and re-installation of the existing flag pole; (d) Installation of the new storm sewer and associated manhole, insulation, backflow preventer, orifice plate, and oil/debris stop snout, and subsequent connection to the existing storm sewers on site; (e) Flush and video camera inspection of the new storm sewers; (f) Design, supply, installation, permitting, and certification of a new retaining wall, complete with chainlink fencing; (g) Asphalt and landscape restoration in the area of the proposed storm sewer and retaining wall; and, (h) Installation of concrete barrier curb. Unless otherwise specified, all works shall meet the minimum design requirements and specifications provided in this document, in the City of Kitchener Development Manual, and the Region of Waterloo and Area Municipalities Design Guidelines and Supplemental Specifications for Municipal Services (DGSSMS) and be constructed in accordance with the latest version of the OPS General Conditions of Contract as issued by Ontario Provincial Standards for Roads and Public Works.
