Please refer the owner for complete details. For the construction of the Lindero Pump Station No. 2 (Toe of Dam or TOD) Rehabilitation ("TOD Pump Station Rehabilitation") located within Calleguas Municipal Water District's Lake Bard site The Work involves rehabilitation of the TOD Pump Station, including demolition of and modifications to existing and construction of new components. This includes removal and replacement, modification, or addition of electrical, switchgear, controls, lighting, fiber optic cables, ball valves, check valves, pump control valves, butterfly valves, concrete stairway, asphalt concrete and concrete paving, valve vault, masonry walls, drainage appurtenances, and other such work. The work shall also include all temporary work and facilities, including temporary electrical and controls systems for pump station operation during construction. Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting and Site Visit At the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting, Bidders will have the opportunity to ask questions regarding the local conditions, construction, labor difficulties and restrictions related to the performance of the Work under the Contract. If additional times for site visits are required due to a larger number of prospective bidders than can be accommodated during the specified times, additional times will be made available during the week of March 15, 2021. If a Bidder wishes for additional time for the Site Visit, the Bidder shall notify bidding@calleguas.com at the time the Site Visit is requested. If the Bidder requires additional time once that Bidder's Site Visit has commenced, the District will make every effort to accommodate such a request at the time. If the District is unable to accommodate the request at the time, the Bidder will be given the opportunity to schedule an additional Site Visit. In order for a Bid to qualify for consideration in making an award, the Bidder shall have a responsible representative present for the entire duration of the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting and shall have a representative attend a Site Visit. Bids received from Bidders not represented at the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting and Site Visit will be returned to the Bidder unopened. Each Bid must be under sealed cover and accompanied by cash, a cashier's check or certified check made payable to "Calleguas Municipal Water District," or a Bidder's bond as described in the Instructions to Bidders (the "Bidder's Security") as a guaranty that the Bidder shall, if awarded the Contract, (i) execute the Contract in accordance with the Bid as accepted by the District, (ii) furnish the required payment and performance bonds and bonding company documentation, (iii) provide satisfactory evidence that the Bidder's Superintendent, Project Manager, and all other designated employees meet the experience and certification requirements in this Notice Inviting Bids, and (iv) provide satisfactory evidence that all required insurance coverages have been secured. The Bidder's Security shall be in an amount that is at least ten percent (10%) of the aggregate amount of the Bidder's Bid. The Bidder that is awarded the Contract (the "Successful Bidder") shall be required to obtain the insurance required by the Contract Documents and furnish a faithful performance bond and a payment bond. The amount of each bond shall be at least onehundred percent (100%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the Contract. The faithful performance bond shall provide that it shall remain in full force and effect during the life of any guarantee or warranty required under the Contract Requests for information or clarification of details on the drawings or provisions of the Specifications shall be made on the RFI/RFC form included in an appendix to the Contract Documents and shall be submitted by email to the Engineer by 5 p.m. no later than seven Calendar Days in advance of the bid opening date.
