Attention of the Bidders is specifically directed to the minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, as well as to other provisions set forth in the bidding documents. Bidder will also be required to show, to the satisfaction of the Sachem Central School District, that they are carrying Workers' Compensation Insurance as required by law and all other Insurance in amounts not less than that specified under the General Conditions. Performance Bonds and Labor/Material Bonds, as called for in the General Conditions are a requirement of each contract Provide, maintain and remove, when no longer required, temporary services and utilities as specified, except as may be otherwise provided by the Owner. Include costs of obtaining permits, labor, equipment, fixtures, lamps and similar items, as well as duties, levies or taxes imposed. The work of this section consists of the provisions of all plant, materials, labor and equipment and the like necessary and/or required for all controlled and compacted backfilling work for this project as required by the schedules, keynotes and drawings, including but not limited to the following. Excavate all areas designated to receive compacted fill of all existing unsuitable materials to the limits shown on the drawings. No fill shall be placed until the subgrade and subgrade compaction has been accepted by the soils engineer. It is a project requirement that the entire building footprint, plus overcuts as defined, be excavated to an elevation as specified on the contract documents. This requirement, as well as angles of repose, are as shown on the drawings. It is the intent of this project that the compacted fill work be completed prior to excavating for building foundation systems, pits and the like. Adjustments to the above criteria, if any, will be made on the basis of unit prices. General filing will be permitted in all areas, other than selected fill locations, as shown on the drawings.
