Berkeley County is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for solid waste collection in the Sangaree Special Tax District. This proposal is divided into 2 lots: residential/commercial 96-gallon solid waste collection and commercial front end container service. The County reserves the right to award to each lot separately or award both lots to a single vendor. Firms responding to this solicitation must provide proposals for at least one lot more specifically defined herein. Deadline for Written Questions: March 9, 2021 at 12:00 PM EST Contract Term: The commencement date shall be July 1, 2021. The initial term of this Agreement shall be for one (1) year from the date of execution. The County reserves the right to extend the Agreement if County determines the extension is in its best interest; said extension will occur on an annual basis and shall not exceed four (4) additional one (1) year periods. Renewal extensions shall be agreed upon by both parties 90 days prior to the renewal date. This Proposal does not commit Berkeley County to award a Contract, to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of a Proposal or to procure or contract for the articles of goods or services. The County reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities, to reject any or all Proposals received as a result of this request, or to cancel in part or in its entirety this Proposal, if it is in the best interest of the County to do so.
