This project consists of tubular steel structures associated with Phase 2C reconstructionof the GP&L 138kV Naaman-Apollo Transmission Line. Bids for conductor, hardware,and construction of the transmission line are being issued separately from this tubular steel structure bid. Thirty-one (31) new complete tubular steel transmission monopole structures and one (1) new tubular steel monopole top section are required. All new structures will be selfsupporting and utilize either a direct embedded or drilled shaft foundation. The structures are generally required to support one (1), three phase (future) circuit of 1926.9 ACSS\TW "CUMBERLAND" transmission conductor consisting of one (1) wire per phase. The line will also accommodate one Centracore CC-57/465 Optical Ground Wires (OPGW), variable numbers of three phase ACSR 477 "HAWK" distribution underbuild circuits, one 4/0 neutral circuit, and miscellaneous underbuilds, all as shown in the plans and details. Miscellaneous steel components for field modification of various existing structures are also included in this contract and shall be furnished in accordance with the project details.
