The purpose and intent of this formal Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to establish a contract with one qualified firm, hereinafter referred to as Contractor to provide sealing and striping services to the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown parking lots and drive lanes as specified in this IFB to the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation (JYF), an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia, hereinafter referred to as Agency. Questions received after this deadline will not be considered.It is the responsibility of the Bidder to mail Bids in time to arrive prior to the closing date and time. The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary to stripe and seal the parking lots and drive lanes located at The American Revolution Museum, 200 Water Street, Yorktown, VA 23690 as specified herein.Total square footage of parking lots and driving lanes total approximately 132,606 sq. ft., which includes approximately 44 staff, 144 visitor, 21 bus, and 6 handicap spaces.Also included in this bid is the excavation of approximately 1500 sq. ft. of asphalt.Due to the Agencys seven (7) day a week operating schedule, some of this work may need to be performed at night or on weekends. The Commonwealth reserves the right to conduct any test/inspection it may deem advisable to assure goods and services conform to the specifications.The purchasing agency reserves the right to cancel and terminate any resulting contract, in part or in whole, without penalty, upon 60 days written notice to the contractor. In the event the initial contract period is for more than 12 months, the resulting contract may also be terminated by the contractor, without penalty, after the initial 12 months of the contract period upon 60 days written notice to the other party. Any contract cancellation notice shall not relieve the contractor of the obligation to deliver and/or perform on all outstanding orders issued prior to the effective date of cancellation. A.
