ADA Upgrades to the Robertson Elementary School.No Pre-Bid Conference will be held All Asbestos Abatement work under this Section shall be performed by an Asbestos Abatement Contractor holding a current Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) Asbestos Abatement Contractor's License. The Abatement Contractor shall furnish all labor, worker training, materials, equipment and services for the complete and proper removal and disposal of asbestos- containing material Removal and disposal of specified asbestos-containing materials (ACM) from selectbuilding areas. This shall include all identified ACM and various associated work as described on the drawings and in the project manual. 1. Due to limited quantity of non-friable ACM sink waterproofing and intact removal methods, a waiver of containment has been requested from RIDOH. Contractor shall remove entire sinks intact to avoid ACM disturbance. Due to imited access of pipe/elbow/fitting insulation in wall/ceiling/floor cavities, two layer mini-containment procedures has been requested from RIDOH. 2. Work area preparations including installation of negative air machines and establishment of negative air pressure for each pipe/elbow/fitting insulation work area and other activities as directed by the Consultant.3. Use of HEPA vacuums for each work area. 4. Intact removal and disposal of ACM waterproofing underside of sinks andremoval and disposal of pipe/elbow/fitting insulation identified in Section 1.3 and in accordance with Section 1.4 of this Specification. 5. Compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as allrequirements set forth in these Specifications and facility requirements. 6. Decontamination and clean up following removal activities in the designated work areas.7. Performance of any other work or activities required by these Specifications, applicable regulations, or as necessary to perform a complete job to the satisfaction of the General Contractor, Owner or Consultant.
