As of February 7, 2024, an engineer has been selected for the project and it is in the design phase. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. construction is not expected to start prior to fiscal year 2023. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: St. Johns County is soliciting qualifications from interested firms to provide professional engineering services for design, permitting, right-of-way acquisition, utility coordination services, and construction documents for the widening of Racetrack Road to 6-lanes between the intersections of West Peyton Parkway and Bartram Park Boulevard (approximately 2,000 feet). Bid Bond No Pre-Bid Conference - No Minimum Qualifications: In order to submit a qualifications package, the Consultant must be currently licensed and certified to do business in the State of Florida as a Professional Engineer pursuant to Florida Statutes, Section 471. St. Johns County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids/proposals, waive minor informalities, or award the bid/proposal which best serves the interests of St. Johns County. All questions related to this RFQ must be submitted in writing, to the Designated Point of Contact: Diana M. Fye, AS, CPPB, Procurement Coordinator, via email to dfye@sjcfl.us. All questions related to this RFQ must be submitted by or before 4:00PM, Thursday, March 18, 2021. St. Johns County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids/proposals, waive minor formalities, and to award the bid/proposal that best serves the interests of St. Johns County. St. Johns County also reserves the right to award the base bid and any alternate bids in any combination that best suits the needs of the County. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
