As of February 7, 2024, an engineer has been selected for the project and it is in the design phase. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. construction is not expected to start prior to fiscal year 2023. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: St. Johns County is soliciting qualifications from interested firms to provide professional engineering services for design, permitting, right-of-way acquisition, utility coordination services, and construction documents for the widening of Racetrack Road to 6-lanes between the intersections of West Peyton Parkway and Bartram Park Boulevard (approximately 2,000 feet). Bid Bond No Pre-Bid Conference - No Minimum Qualifications: In order to submit a qualifications package, the Consultant must be currently licensed and certified to do business in the State of Florida as a Professional Engineer pursuant to Florida Statutes, Section 471. St. Johns County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids/proposals, waive minor informalities, or award the bid/proposal which best serves the interests of St. Johns County. All questions related to this RFQ must be submitted in writing, to the Designated Point of Contact: Diana M. Fye, AS, CPPB, Procurement Coordinator, via email to dfye@sjcfl.us. All questions related to this RFQ must be submitted by or before 4:00PM, Thursday, March 18, 2021.
